W4 Games Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct reflects how we work together and represent W4 Games. It applies to employees, contractors, partners and suppliers in every setting, including online spaces, offices, events and community interactions. Everyone is expected to act with integrity and uphold the company’s values.

Empowering People

We treat everyone with respect and professionalism. No one should face harassment, discrimination, bullying or exclusion. We create space for people to participate fully and feel supported. Different backgrounds and perspectives make us better, and everyone deserves dignity in their work.

Continuous Learning

We stay curious, share knowledge and welcome feedback. Growth happens when people can ask questions, stretch beyond comfort zones, learn from mistakes and support one another. Mentoring, experimentation and open conversations help us improve individually and as a team.

Impactful Excellence

We aim to do high quality work that makes a positive difference. We follow through on our responsibilities and make thoughtful, responsible use of our time and resources. Privacy, security, reliability and ethical decisions are part of what it means to do our jobs well.

Open Dialogue and Trust

We communicate honestly and respectfully. We encourage the contribution of and actively listen to different viewpoints and handle disagreements constructively. If something needs to be questioned or challenged, we speak up. Saying no when needed is part of making the right call and building trust.

Concerns about misconduct, unethical behavior or violations of this code should be reported. People who raise issues in good faith are not punished for doing so. Problems can only be addressed when they are visible.

Sustainable Success

We prioritize long term wellbeing and responsible pacing. We aim to prevent harmful working conditions by avoiding causes such as unnecessary crunch, chronic overcommitment, and disregard for personal time. We respect each other’s boundaries and make decisions with lasting impact in mind. Responsible practices benefit our team, our partners and the Godot ecosystem over time.

Legal and Ethical Conduct

We comply with the laws and regulations that apply to our work. This includes anti-corruption, data protection, fair competition, intellectual property and export controls. We do not engage in fraud, bribery or conflicts of interest. Our suppliers and partners are expected to meet comparable standards.

Fair Labor and Human Rights

We uphold fair working conditions and human dignity. We neither engage in nor accept from anyone we work with forced labor, child labor or exploitation. Compensation, working hours and workplace conditions must follow legal standards and respect the wellbeing of the people involved.

Health and Safety

Everyone has the right to a safe and healthy environment. We follow safety practices, report hazards quickly and take concerns seriously. We look out for one another.

Environmental Responsibility

We use resources responsibly and reduce waste where we can. Environmental impact is considered in our decisions, including in how we build, travel and procure.

Data, Privacy and Security

We protect confidential information and user data. We handle data responsibly, report risks and do not misuse access for personal or unauthorized reasons.

Living the Code

No policy covers every situation. When unsure, act with integrity, think about how your behavior reflects on W4 Games and draw on the company’s values to guide you. We are each responsible for maintaining an environment where people can do excellent work and feel proud to be part of this company.

This code may evolve as W4 Games grows, but the spirit remains the same. Our actions should reflect who we are and the impact we want to have.
